Haiz. Didn't expect myself to work during my birthday. So boring. Although yesterday Sunday, 2nd of March was my birthday, I got no choice but to work. Somehow yesterday was very crowded at Popular. Well, that's a good thing and a bad thing for me. I got to tidy up the store like crazy.
Haiz. Lucky, I was smart enough to find a blindspot where no cameras can find me. I just sit downand read storybook to kill time. No point tidying up since it will be messy sooner or later. I think I read for about 3 hours, I guessed. Time flies, you see. But I didn't expect myself to be found out at last.
Fortunately, I was really scolded by one of my staff. Even my own staffs in my department also slack. Though she pretended to be doing her 'return' work, she seemed to be doing it like ages. She has been sitting down inside the office, doing that. Well, why I said she slack is because, normally we should be able to finish our 'return' work in less than 3hours. But she took almost the half the day doing that. Obviously, she also followed me to slack. No, is the other way round. She knew I will be slacking today and even asked me not to botter tidying up untill 9pm. Well, of course I know that. Anyway, even my senior also pretend to slack around. Another 'she' just stay inside office, doing her paperwork, slowly.
Haiz. Everybody is just pretending. That's the beauty of it. But not to worry, I am smart enough to tidy up abit sometime. Otherwise, later we would have a hard time tidying up. Haha.
You see, sometimes in life, you got to pretend, even for a slightest moment. Every minute counts. I made full use of my breaktime to read newspaper. Haiz. Quite a miracle for me to read newspaper as I seldom do that. I guessed I have become a reader ever since I moved into the English Department.
Life was boring. But it depends on how you define your life as. So don't always say you got no life. To me, now I find my own 'life' , and that is to read storybooks. Interesting one. Read the Singapore Ghost Stories, Chicken Soup, Comics...etc.
Well, I am glad that got people who can still remember my birthday although I didn't expect myself to receive any present. The first person who wished me was my 'God cousin'. Ng Li Hui. Well, glad that she still remembered. Next is Jeslin Chew, followed by Shaun Sim, then Yong Kuang, then Cheryl Goh, then Chein Yie... And so on. Just hope that all my wishes will come through this year. No more to talk for today.
